Rivermarket and West Bottoms

2002 –  2004 SPEAKEASY HAUNTS, Kansas City, Missouri

A wonderful opportunity arose thanks to my best friend and haunt collaborator, John Kelley, who had access to a historic building in the Rivermarket of Kansas City, and the equal desire to create new concepts in haunted houses. But instead of creating something for a public, commercial venture, we opted to hone our skills for a private, “captive” private audience. And so, for each Hallowe’en over three years we developed a themed haunted attraction and celebration exclusively for for a select few invitees to attend and experience.

2007 CHAMBERS OF EDGAR ALLAN POE, CINEMA MACABRE, THE BEAST, Kansas City, MO

I returned to work for Full Moon Productions as part of a small design team to create two new haunted houses, The Chambers of Edgar Allan Poe and Cinema Macabre. It was a long, hot summer getting them opened just barely in time for the season. Once those attractions opened, I finished the season as Assistant Manager of The Beast.
